Raytheon honored for recycling Tucson-based Raytheon Missile

Tucson-based Raytheon Missile Systems has been named the state's large-business recycler of the year by the Arizona Recycling Coalition. Since 2007, the amount of waste Raytheon sends to landfills has been cut 42.5, the company said. The company recycles a variety of materials including paper, cardboard, plastics, aluminum, scrap metal, office supplies, shrink wrap, packing peanuts, Styrofoam, batteries and electronics. The company sends printer ink and toner cartridges to Cartridges for Kids, an organization that supports school programs.
